“There was no deserving courtesy to serve me” Iyabo Ojo finally reacts to Naira Marley’s N500m lawsuit against her, demanding N1 billion in counterclaim

Finally, the Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has responded to the N500 million lawsuit filed against her by singer Naira Marley; now demanding a N1 billion counterclaim.

NaijaBullet reported last week that Naira Marley had dragged Iyabo to court, demanding a public apology from the controversial actress or face legal proceedings worth N500 million in damages.

In the lawsuit, Naira Marley accused the actress of defaming him by posting false and malicious content about him on her Instagram page.

Now, in response, she has stated that the singer’s lawyer never thought it was worthwhile to serve her the lawsuit privately, preferring to disseminate it online.

Iyabo Ojo filed a counterclaim lawsuit against him for failure to serve her the suit by hand or through mail, which could lead to blackmail.

The movie star is now demanding N1 billion from the singer for deliberately misleading the public.

Iyabo Ojo finally reacts to Naira Marley’s N500m lawsuit

Priscilla Ojo had taken to her defense, noting how Naira was yet to resolve issues of Mohbad‘s catalog and unpaid royalties, yet was filing a lawsuit against her mother.

She blasted him on social media for his audacity and also pointed out his hypocrisy of suing her mother when there were videos of him bullying Mohbad before his untimely demise.

She also went on to slam Nigerians for calling her mother a clout chaser because of her fight for Mohbad and how they are reading meaning to her content on the Real Housewives of Lagos reality show.

Paul Okoye (her lover), stated that his lover didn’t say anything bad about Naira Marley.

He made it known to the public that he had listened to all the things that Ojo said and there was no defamation of Nara Marley’s character in it.

If they cannot resolve the case amicably, then they would end up in the law court and it would be settled over there.

Amid the lawsuit, actress, Ufuoma McDermott poured praises on Iyabo Ojo, asserting that Iyabo is intentionally and consciously fighting for better, is a voice of reasoning, is an imperfect human but has a perfect heart, and is an all-around good human.

She stated that Iyabo Ojo always has her utmost respect now and always.
