A Nigerian student recently shared her inspiring academic journey, detailing how she transferred from Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to Bowen University, changing her major from Chemistry to Computer Science in the process.
The student, known as Mofe Billions, recounted her switch in 2020 when she decided to leave her third year in Chemistry at LAUTECH to start fresh in Computer Science at Bowen University.
Despite the challenges of adjusting to a new school and beginning a different program, she successfully completed her degree.
Reflecting on her experience, Mofe said her journey turned into a profound period of growth, leadership, and community involvement.
She served as Welfare Director for the National Association of Computing Students (NACOS) Bowen Chapter and led the welfare team for Bowen Tech Week ’24.
Grateful for the support she received along the way, Mofe celebrated her achievement and looks forward to the next chapter of her life.
