ASUU Indigent Scholarship Application Guidelines

Applying for the ASUU Indigent Scholarship requires adherence to certain guidelines:

1. Application Letter: Each hopeful candidate should curate an application letter, constrained to two pages, incorporating:
   • Candidate's full name.
   • Course and current year of study.
   • State of origin.
2. Supporting Documents: Accompanying the application letter, candidates should also include:
   • A photocopy of their current university identity card.
   • A recommendation letter from their present Head of Department. This letter should also verify the student's GPA from the preceding academic year.
   • A copy of their registration form for the ongoing semester.
   • Two recent passport photographs.

Guidelines For The Scholarship Award

• The award will be for established indigent students from each branch.
• Each branch shall establish a committee to select the awardees.
• A well-advertised call for applications shall be made by the branch.
• The selection committee monitored by the Zonal coordinator shall interact with the applicants and select a candidate per branch. 
• The selected candidate shall be presented to the congress for confirmation.
• The branch shall communicate the names of the selected candidates to the National for confirmation and presentation of the award.
• The interview process for the Gani Fawehinmi scholarship shall be adopted by the branch committees.
• The award shall be presented to the successful candidates at the zonal level. However, the scholarship shall be launched at the National level.
