Scholarship Eligibility
This scholarship may be awarded to:
- Students currently enrolled in an eligible program
- Prospective students planning to enroll in an eligible program before the scholarship deadline
- Full-time or part-time students
- All US residents, including DACA recipients and international students
- Students of all ages (with parental consent if under 18)
Twice per year, they select one student for the $2,500 award. This scholarship is awarded to your school on your behalf, to be used for all educational expenses, including tuition, books, or supplies.

What are the Application Requirements?
The Beauty and Wellness Professionals Scholarship is a video submission essay. Make sure to review the application requirements carefully, and if you have questions or concerns, send an email to teresa@beautyschoolsdirectoryteam.com.
1. Complete the online application below. Winners must be enrolled in an eligible program within six months of being notified, AND
2. Submit a 3-minute maximum video responding to one of the prompts provided below. Other video requirements:
- Videos exceeding 3 minutes will be disqualified
- Videos must be published on YouTube with a public link
- Videos must mention @beautyschools in the description
Video Prompts:
Choose one prompt to respond to in your video:
- What field or specialty are you interested in and why? Were there other programs you considered? What specific career goals led to you deciding on your chosen field or specialty? What inspires you to pursue this path?
- What are your career goals? Where do you want to be one year after completing your program? Where do you want to be 10 years after completing your program? What do you think the biggest obstacles are to achieving your goals? How do you plan to overcome them?
- How will you use your career to benefit your community? How do you plan on changing others' lives through your career?
- How would you advise a friend to choose the best beauty school for them? How did you choose your school and what have you learned from your experience that you would pass along to a friend? (For those already enrolled)
- Show us a day in your life at school. What are you learning? What are your classes like? Are you a part-time or full-time student? What's your favorite thing about school? Provide a thorough picture of what school is like for you and some of your experiences (For those already enrolled)

Eligible Programs for the Beauty and Wellness Professionals Scholarship
We are passionate about connecting individuals with an education that opens career opportunities in beauty and wellness.
To be selected, students must be currently enrolled in or planning to enroll in any of the following accredited or state-approved programs:
- Cosmetology
- Esthetics
- Massage Therapy
- Barbering
- Electrology, Laser Hair Removal, or Trichology
- Hair Designer Hair Braiding
- Makeup Artistry, or Permanent Makeup
- Nail Technology
- Salon Management or Cosmetology Teaching
- Other relevant beauty industry programs, at our selection committee's discretion
Selection Criteria
The Beauty and Wellness Professionals Scholarship Selection Committee will review all the submitted scholarship applications based on the following selection criteria:
- How well you respond to the prompt
- Thoughtfulness of your response
- Your drive and passion in the beauty field
Applicants may submit one application per scholarship period.
Scholarship Deadline: September 1, 2024.
