Applying for an Affiliate Account

To get started with Shareasale, visit their website and click the Affiliate Sign Up link as shown in the image below, to start the sign-up process. It's a straightforward process.

You'll be directed to the signup page as shown below.

Here, you need to create a username, a unique password that you'll be able to remember easily and then select your country of residence; then click on ‘Step 2‘ to proceed to the next step.

On this next page, you'll be asked to enter the details of your website and also your primary language.

Just pause the registration and get your website ready, then come back and finish it up.

Your website must be up and running before you will be accepted into the network, so do not jock with this step; it is a requirement that cannot be skipped or maneuvered.

When you're done with this step, click on ‘Step 3‘ to proceed to the next step.

In this next step, you'll be asked to confirm your email address; make sure you enter a valid email address and then click on the verification email they will send you, to verify the email.

Once you have verified your email address, click on ‘Step 4‘ to preceded to the next step.

Fill out your correct contact information in the next section and then select how you want ShareASale to pay you when you make a commission sale.

When the registration form is complete, click on ‘Step 5‘ to proceed to the next step.

To get paid by Shareasale, you will have to US bank account or collect your payments by check, this is because they do not use PayPal. And if you do not have a US bank account, you can easily create one with either Payoneer or Wise.

Once you are sure that every piece of information you supplied is accurate and okay, go ahead and click on Complete Sign-Up.

Your application will be submitted and reviewed; if you followed every step here correctly, then it will definitely be approved within 2-3 days.

Once your application is approved, it's time for you to start applying for individual affiliate programs and start promoting your affiliate links to make money.

Shareasale has a very interesting and robust search tool that will help you filter the right programs or merchants. You can filter by a category, keywords, sales commission structure, or length of time with Shareasale.

You can also join the highest-ranking programs by going through the top 100 merchants on the network; When you find a suitable program you desire to promote, click on it and submit a proposal with your blog link in it.

The merchant will review your website and approve you if your website qualifies for their program.

There are four merchant marketing models to earn money with Shareasale:

• Pay Per Lead — You get paid every time a visitor follows your affiliate link to a merchant's lead capture form and fully completes it.
• Pay Per Sale — You earn a commission when visitors follow your direct link to a product or webpage and then make a purchase.
• Pay Per Click — You earn a commission when people click ads on your website. 
• Pay per Call – This particular one is not available for everyone, you will get paid when someone makes a call through you.

After you have been approved by a merchant, you'll then be able to access your referral links and banners for that particular program through your Shareasale account.

Copy your affiliate links and then make write blog content with them or you can add the banners on your blog and make money whenever someone clicks on them and buys through that link.

Shareasale pays you your commissions every month (The minimum threshold is $50), and you can check how much you are earning per time from your dashboard.

The Shareasale Merchant

The ShareASale merchant account enables businesses and product owners to publish their products and has affiliate marketers like you apply as Shareasale affiliates and then promote their products and businesses.

In return, these merchants will pay all the affiliates a commission for each sale they make through them.
