Kylian Mbappe has quashed any speculation of a rift with Vinicius Junior, insisting that he joined Real Madrid specifically “to play with him”.
The French forward, who completed his long-anticipated move to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer of 2024, addressed rumours of discord in a star-studded Madrid squad.
The French man claims that he and Vinicius share a strong relationship on and off the pitch.
Speaking to La Sexta, Mbappe stated: “The relationship is very good. It’s normal for people to talk about us, two famous players who make a difference, but I came with the idea of playing with Vinicius. I can’t imagine a Real Madrid without Vini.”
He added that while expectations are high, both he and Vinicius are committed to delivering results in the season’s final stretch.
“We’re good together and it’s the most important part of the season. We’re going to try to help Madrid win as much as we can.”
